A national programme undertaken with the Romanian League for
Mental Health.

Programme Highlights

• To date, several articles have been run in Romanian newspapers, and an article on destigmatisation appeared in a medical newspaper. Twelve different radio programmes have included information on the anti-stigma efforts.
• On "Mental Health Day" in Romania, the Romanian League for Mental Health, in cooperation with the WHO office, organised an exhibition of pictures, poems and artwork by individuals living with mental illness, including schizophrenia.
• Six centres in five cities throughout Romania have theatre groups that have begun to present productions dramatizing issues about the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
